Muvers is the controller of personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at hello@muvers.co.uk.

2. What we collect

• Contact details you provide (name, email, phone, addresses).
• Move details (postcodes, dates, property type, special items).
• Payment information processed by our payment provider (we do not store card numbers).
• Account and authentication data when you sign in.
• Usage data: pages viewed, device and approximate location, cookies (see Cookie Policy).

3. How we use it

• To produce quotes and fulfil bookings.
• To communicate with you about your move and our service.
• To improve the site and detect abuse.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of contract (to fulfil your booking), legitimate interest (to run our business and protect the service), legal obligation (e.g. record-keeping) and, where applicable, consent (for marketing communications).

5. Sharing

We share the minimum data required with the assigned mover, our payment processor (Stripe), our SMS provider (Twilio) and our hosting providers. We never sell your data.

6. Retention

We keep booking and financial records for as long as required by law (typically six years). Account data is removed on request, subject to any outstanding obligations.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the ICO.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. Despite our best efforts, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated by email.
